The Ministry of Tourism in support of the West End Eco-fishing Camp Association and the Grand Bahama Sailing Club will host this recreational spring time event, attracting young sailors, many under 15 for a weekend of competitive sailing and lots of camaraderie for the entire family to enjoy.

Pelican Point’s Homecoming Festival is held annually on Easter Monday on Grand Bahama Island.  Thanks to the Independence Celebration Committee, The Ministry for Grand Bahama, and the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, the festival returned last year.

The quaint settlement of Pelican Point welcomed everyone back to the community for the Coconut Festival after a two-year absence.

Festival Organizers are encouraging Visitors and Locals to come out and experience coconut in more ways than you can count!  Additionally, there will be performances by various Bahamian Bands and Musicians. The day will end with a junkanoo rush-out.

Visitors can look forward to joining in on the fun of 'Plaiting of the Coconut Pole,' numerous coconut fun and games, including the coconut barking contest!
