On GRAND BAHAMA: International or domestic flights or sea vessels are allowed in and out of the island, as of August 25, 2020. Evening curfew and nationwide requirements still hold.
While not closing the country’s borders to air or sea traffic, the government of The Bahamas now requires visitors arriving at any island in the archipelago to undergo a 14-day quarantine.
NASSAU, Bahamas, August 20, 2020 – In effort to effectively respond to and control the spread of COVID-19 in The Bahamas, particularly on New Providence and Grand Bahama Island, new Emergency Orders have been issued by Prime Minister, The Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis.
Based on the number of new cases and other indicators regularly reported on by the Ministry of Health, more aggressive and comprehensive measures are required to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, the following protocols and restrictions are in place: See Full Release
1. All passengers must apply at travel.gov.bs {click on the International Tab} for a Bahamas Health Visa and upload a COVID 19 test which displays the following characteristics:
RT PCR test (not an antigen test nor an antibody test)
A negative result.
Valid for 10 days from the date the specimen was provided.
Name and address of the accredited lab where test was performed.
