Hope for our island's birds their habitat and food sources
Grand Bahama Birders and visiting participants worried about the outcome of the recent counts which took place in the West End area on January 4th and covered Central Grand Bahama on January 5th of this year. We did not know what species and bird numbers we could expect after the habitat and environment had only experienced 4 months of recovery, following the devastating damage of Dorian.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, February 3, 2020……The Grand Bahama Island Tourism Board’s (GBITB) representation of Freeport, Grand Bahama Island included partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister, Grand Bahama (OPM), The Grand Bahama Port Authority (GBPA) and several Island stakeholders.  The group’s message focused on their stories of recovery and readiness to receive visitors to Grand Bahama Island.
