The Grand Bahama Island Promotion Board Announces Exciting 2025 Lineup of Events & Initiatives, Including the Return of the GBI Restaurant Fest and Expansion of the Love Grand Bahama Campaign

FREEPORT, GRAND BAHAMA –  The Grand Bahama Island Promotion Board (GBIPB) is thrilled to unveil an exciting lineup of events and initiatives set to elevate the island’s global profile throughout 2025. Building on recent successes, including the launch of Grand Life Magazine, a revamped social media presence, a new modernized website and the GBI Ambassadors program, the Board is set to ramp up efforts to showcase the unique allure of Grand Bahama Island both locally and internationally.

At the forefront of the GBIPB’s efforts is the ongoing Love Grand Bahama campaign, which will see expanded digital and in-person initiatives designed to highlight the island’s vibrant culture, natural wonders, and diverse experiences. The campaign will continue to underscore Grand Bahama’s distinctiveness, emphasizing its eco-wonderland in the east, the bustling city center, and the authentic family island communities in the west.

Ian Rolle, Chairman of the GBIPB, stated, “Grand Bahama is a truly special destination. We’ve been working hard to share its story with the world via a number of channels, including attending travel and trade shows, and providing the tools our members need to showcase their products and services. From the success of Grand Life Magazine to the recruitment of Grand Bahamian storytellers through our GB Ambassadors program, we are expanding our outreach and continuing to build on the island’s unique appeal. We’re incredibly excited to amplify the Love Grand Bahama campaign, which has already begun to resonate with locals and visitors alike.”

In 2025, the Grand Bahama Island Restaurant Fest will return for its fourth year, from Saturday, August 2 through Saturday, August 16, 2025. The event, under the theme Authenticity Reimagined: The Authentic Cuisine of Grand Bahama Reimagined Through a Modern Lens, will celebrate the island’s rich culinary heritage with a modern twist. Featuring local chefs and restaurants, the festival promises a series of exciting events that highlight the island’s diverse flavours, from traditional Bahamian dishes to innovative new creations.

In addition to the Restaurant Fest, the GBIPB will launch a new website in early 2025 to further promote Grand Bahama’s offerings and enhance engagement with potential visitors. The website will serve as a hub for information about the island’s tourism, events, accommodations, and activities, streamlining the visitor experience and helping travellers discover all that Grand Bahama has to offer.

“Grand Bahama is one island with three distinct destinations,” Rolle continued. “From the tranquil eco wonders of the east to the city center and the warm family island settlement communities in the west, we are proud to showcase our island’s diversity. We have 44 named beaches, over 120 restaurants, world-class fly fishing, deep sea fishing and water sports, as well as unparalleled natural beauty and natural wonders. You can enjoy the mystical Owls Hole, explore Ben’s Cave, relax in the Garden of the Groves, or even learn about coral growth and restoration at the Coral Vita Coral Farm. Once people experience Grand Bahama, they truly fall in love with it.”
