Special round trip airfares from Ft. Lauderdale on Bahamasair start at $229
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas, July 6th, 2020……The Grand Bahama Island Tourism Board (GBITB) is pleased to announce that the island reopened to international commercial flights on Wednesday, July 1st, 2020. This is in keeping with the rest of the country, as indicated by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism following extensive consultations with the Bahamas Ministry of Health.
As a special offer to welcome visitors for the reopening, Grand Bahama Island has partnered with Bahamasair to offer a rate of $229 for a round trip fare from Ft. Lauderdale to Freeport for travel in the month of July. This rate includes all taxes; tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

On June 28th, The Bahamas announced that effective July 7th, 2020 that the window to take the COVID-19 RT-PCR test prior to arrival has been reduced from 10 days to 7 days.
Upon receipt of your COVID-19 test results, all travelers must submit them for issuance of a Bahamas Travel Health Certificate at https://travel.gov.bs/international this process is normally quick and you can expect to receive it shortly after submission.

The Islands of the Bahamas has announced a phased reopening of its borders for tourism. June 15, 2020, welcomed the first phase of visitors consisting of Boaters, Yachters, and Private Aviation.
